This letter is a large undertaking as someone new to exchanges and planning on using this as a master letter for many exchanges. I apologize if you have clicked into this letter and find that I haven't quite gotten to adding any information for the ship or character you were interested in seeing my thoughts on. I will eventually get it all added!

Hello, my lovely fellow exchange participant! The "Gift Content" portion of this post is already in my sign up, however all additional information past that is not! All content below is listed in alphabetical order, not by preference. Some prompts and headcanons may contain tiggering content. Most ship headcanons and thoughts can also be applied to platonic versions of the ship but I didn't want to double the length of the letter by adding each ship twice. Please note that these are just prompts and headcanons that I would generally love to read something based on but not the only thing I'm interested in reading. If none of these inspire you, that's completely fine and I will be happy to read whatever you write, so long as it avoids my DNWs!

Akaashi is so in tune with what others need. How does that affect him? Does he ever get burnt out taking care of everyone else?

Bokuto Koutarou

I personally have developed the headcanon that Bokuto is bipolar and isn't always fantastic about staying on his meds when he starts feeling good because of them, sometimes resulting in self-harm, which he hides evidence of by wearing leggings under his volleyball shorts.

Iwaizumi Hajime

Iwaizumi is more soft-hearted than he wanted to let people believe. He takes care of people, but also tries to do it subtly or acts like it's an inconvenience.

Kozume Kenma

Kenma as transmasc who has grown more confident and could not give less of a fuck what other people think about that information is my favorite. How did he grow from the shy kid that analyzed everyone's actions to try to figure out what they thought of him to a confident badass?

Kuroo Tetsurou

Kuroo is obviously loud and has a hugely confident persona. Is it all real? Is it hiding anything? Has he always been outgoing and protective or is that something he's developed because of his friendships?

Miya Osamu

The twins needed more angst so my personal headcanon is that they were sexually abused by their father, who told them as long as they kept it a secret, the other would be safe. He was eventually found out and went to jail, while the twins went to many years of therapy. How has that affected their own relationships and intimacy with partners?

I also think that Atsumu actually as a lot of insecurity that he's trying to hide, which he likes to bury by flirting with anyone and everyone: teammates, interviewers, fans. How did Osamu choosing to quit volleyball impact him and his insecurities?

There's a lot of pressure that's put on Oikawa to be perfect, to the point that he doesn't always take great care of himself when he's caught up in something. What sort of things did he grow up around that put this perfectionism in him? Do his parents actually notice how hard he's trying for their approval?

I love the idea that Ukai is bi/pan/gay and doesn't really realize it until he meets Takeda. Does he look back and see any relationships in a different light that makes him realize he was actually into a guy before and just didn't quite understand?

Yamaguchi Tadashi

Yamaguchi just wants to fit in and he'll do almost anything to achieve that. Leaning into his subtle snarkiness is also really fun because so many people just write him as super nice all the time!

Akaashi Keiji/Bokuto Koutarou

Akaashi definitely spends a lot of time taking care of Bokuto's insecurities, and does his best to help keep Bokuto on his meds. What ways does Bokuto take care of Akaashi as well? I also really love dom and/or top Akaashi to Bokuto's sub and/or bottom. (Akaashi being a sub or a bottom is also okay, but I would definitely prefer that he also be either a top or a dom! The inverse is true for Bokuto.)

Akaashi Keiji/Bokuto Koutarou/Kozume Kenma/Kuroo Tetsurou

There's just too much chemistry between these four that they definitely experimented. I think that Kenma/Kuroo and Akaashi/Bokuto were dating first and then probably Bokuto/Kuroo branched off and brought them all together. I would love to see how the dynamics of the group play out in any situation! I also really love the idea of Akaashi or Kenma domming both Bokuto and Kuroo while the other watches and maybe provides some suggestions but mostly just enjoys or Akaashi and Kenma domming just Bokuto or just Kuroo while the other has to watch as some sort of punishment.

Bokuto Koutarou/Kuroo Tetsurou

These two were each other's first same sex kiss you can't convince me otherwise. One of them suggested it and then they both kind of played it off until both were like "okay but what if?" What does their exploration into queerness with each other look like? How do they feel while they discover new things about themselves?

Bokuto Koutarou/Kuroo Tetsurou/Tsukishima Kei

Established Bokuto/Kuroo taking in Tsukki just for mentoring purposes which then evolves into a throuple? Sign me up!! How do they convince Tsukki to give them a chance together?

Iwaizumi Hajime/Oikawa Tooru

The idea that Iwaizumi went into physical therapy because of Oikawa's knee, and him assuming Oikawa would make the Japanese national team just for Oikawa to move halfway across the world and renounce his citizenship? Angst central! How does Oikawa leaving Japan affect him? How does Oikawa cope with being alone in Argentina? Do they do long distance the entire time? Do they break up over it? Does Iwaizumi follow Oikawa to Argentina eventually?

Kozume Kenma/Kuroo Tetsurou

These two are so close from such a young age, they could almost fall into a relationship without even really realizing when it happened. People have just always kind of assumed they're dating since they reached the age where people generally start dating and eventually they do. Kenma being the dom and/or top to Kuroo's sub and/or bottom is also delicious! (Kenma being a sub or a bottom is also okay, but I would definitely prefer that he also be either a top or a dom! The inverse is true for Kuroo.)

Miya Atsumu/Sakusa Kiyoomi

Atsumu has been down bad for Kiyoomi since they first met while Kiyoomi had to spend a lot of time warming up to Atsumu before even entertaining the thought that he could have feelings for him. Kiyoomi definitely always brushed off Atsumu's flirtations as Atsumu being Atsumu and didn't think he was serious about them until someone else eventually points out that Atsumu flirts with Kiyoomi in ways that he doesn't flirt with anyone else. What eventually makes Kiyoomi realize that he has feelings for Atsumu and that he wants to pursue them? How does Kiyoomi react when he finds out about Atsumu's past abuse?

Miya Osamu/Suna Rintarou

These two have been best friends since Suna moved and started attending the same school as Osamu. Osamu helped him settle into the area and Suna's been there through all the shit that Osamu had to go through with the Miya's father being arrested. Did Suna think that Osamu would continue playing volleyball or did Osamu confide in him before he told Atsumu that he was going to quit? Did Suna give Osamu encouragement to be able to tell Atsumu?

Tsukishima Kei/Yamaguchi Tadashi

These two get along so well because of their snark! They have different brands of snark for sure but it was definitely what led them to bond. How does Tsukki being so secretive affect Yamaguchi? Does Yamaguchi notice Tsukki's bad habits and food problems but let them slide because of his need to fit in?

Gojo just wants to be seen as a guy and to get some approval. He's been put on a pedestal since he was a child and treated like a precious artifact that no one could touch to the point that he has very few genuine connections. Exploring overstimulated Gojo because of his Six Eyes would be fantastic, and overstimulated Gojo even in a setting where he doesn't have powers would be great as well!

I love Inumaki so much!! He's protecting and caring and thoughtful. What happened to make him use rice ball speech? Does he ever use Cursed Speech in a way perhaps he shouldn't? (Cursed Speech as a kink, anyone?)
